NCCD Explained
The Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD) takes place every year.
The NCCD is a collection that counts:
- the number of school students receiving an adjustment or ‘help’ due to disability
- the level of adjustment they are receiving to access education on the same basis as other students.
In Catholic education, we recognize the inherent dignity of every student as made in the image and likeness of God. The NCCD supports our mission to provide a loving and inclusive environment where all students can flourish. By ensuring that students with disabilities receive the necessary adjustments, we live out the Gospel call to love our neighbour and uphold the principles of justice and equity.
The data collected through the NCCD allows us to understand better and respond to the unique needs of each student, ensuring they have the opportunity to achieve their potential. This process is a practical application of our commitment to the common good, as it helps us to create a school community where every student is valued and supported.
