Apple Distinguished School
St Thomas School and Preschool is an internationally accredited Apple Distinguished School, where innovation and technology integration are at the heart of our educational approach. Our school stands out for its commitment to embedding Apple technologies seamlessly into everyday learning experiences, empowering students to create, innovate, and design collaboratively using the Apple software learning suite.
In our classrooms, students are not just consumers but creators of knowledge. Through hands-on exploration with iPads, MacBooks, and other Apple devices, they engage in dynamic learning activities that foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and digital literacy skills. Whether coding apps, producing multimedia projects, or designing digital artwork, students have the tools and support to express their creativity and showcase their learning in meaningful ways. Our students from year 4-6 have one to one access to iPads in Year 3 and 4 and MacBooks in Year 5 and 6. Our Early Years students have a bank of class iPads that are used across all learning areas.
The Apple software learning suite provides a robust platform for collaboration among students and teachers, facilitating seamless communication, sharing of ideas, and project-based learning. Our curriculum is enriched with interdisciplinary projects that integrate technology across subjects, preparing students for the challenges and opportunities of a digital future.
As an Apple Distinguished School, we are committed to continuous innovation and excellence in education, ensuring that every student experiences personalised learning pathways and gains the skills necessary to thrive in a globally connected world. Our focus is on designing learning where technology empowers learners and shapes the leaders of tomorrow.
