Mercy Leaders
At St Thomas School and Preschool, we proudly foster leadership and service through our Mercy Leader program. Each year, Year 6 students are selected for these esteemed positions, embodying our core Mercy values of Compassion, Integrity, Justice, Respect, and Challenge.
Our Mercy Leaders embody the essence of our Mercy values, serving as beacons of compassion, integrity, and justice within our school community. From organising Mercy Day celebrations to supporting Masses and Parish duties, they exemplify what it means to live out our faith in action.
Beyond their designated roles, Mercy Leaders actively cultivate an inclusive environment where respect and empathy thrive. During break times, they can be seen extending a helping hand, embodying the spirit of compassion and respect for their peers.
By modelling our Mercy values, Mercy Leaders inspire their fellow students to embrace challenge and strive for excellence in all endeavours. Their dedication to upholding these values creates a culture of integrity and accountability throughout our school community.
From assisting with special events like Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday to supporting teachers and Religious Education staff, Mercy Leaders play a vital role in nurturing a community grounded in faith and service.
At St Thomas School and Preschool, our Mercy Leaders are more than just student leaders; they are living embodiments of our Mercy values, guiding our community on a journey of compassion, integrity, and justice. Through their actions and dedication, they help us uphold the Mercy tradition that defines our school community.
