Soccer

At St Thomas School and Preschool, we believe in the power of sports to inspire, teach, and bring communities together. Our parent-coached soccer program exemplifies this belief by combining the passion and dedication of our parent volunteers with the enthusiasm and potential of our young athletes.

This program is not just about learning the fundamentals of soccer; it's about fostering a love for the game and providing a supportive environment where every child can grow and thrive. Our parent coaches bring a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to helping each student reach their full potential. They understand the importance of patience, encouragement, and personalized guidance in developing young athletes.

Our focus is on creating a fun and inclusive atmosphere where students of all skill levels can participate, improve, and enjoy the game. Through regular training sessions, friendly matches, and team-building activities, students will learn essential soccer skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork. They will also develop important life skills like discipline, perseverance, and sportsmanship.

We celebrate the individual talents of each student, recognizing that every child has unique strengths and abilities. Our coaches work closely with the students to help them build confidence, set goals, and achieve personal milestones. Whether your child is a budding soccer star or just starting out, our program is designed to support their journey and help them find joy in playing soccer.

Parental involvement is at the heart of our program. We believe that having parents actively engaged in coaching, team managing, refereeing and supporting their children creates a positive and motivating environment. It strengthens the bond between parents and children and fosters a sense of community and teamwork among all participants.

Soccer is offered to students in Year 1-6 during Terms 2 & 3.
Matches are played on Saturday mornings.

Volunteers

Our extra curricula sport would not exist without our volunteers and we encourage parents/guardians to become a St Thomas volunteer.
